Over time Steeprock has developed into a unique Artist Residency and space for creatives to retreat, become inspired and create work. We have hosted artists, musicians, writers and researchers, all looking for a space to retreat.

Steeprock is as rugged as it is inspiring. It is not for the faint of heart. Living in a cabin in the San Juan mountains can have a romantic appeal but does require some tenacity and dedication to the experience.

Many local and visiting groups have enjoyed hosting meetings, retreats and workshops at Steeprock. The environment provides a quiet, secluded, private gathering space for a small group wishing to learn or connect in an inspiring environment. Steeprock is available for one-day or multi-day events.
